We are delighted and proud to welcome Ron Hansen to Mt. Diablo Branch’s CWC centennial celebration. Hansen’s 1996 novel, Atticus, about the bond of love between a father and a son, was a finalist for both the National Book Award and the PEN/Faulkner Award.

Mr. Hansen has also authored the popular novels, Desperadoes (1979), The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (1983, Motion Picture in 2007), Mariette in Ecstasy (1991), Hitler’s Niece (1999), and Exiles (2008).
